No more blurriness in Mobile Safari bookmarklet →
Have an iPad? Enjoy webcomics? Can tolerate adding bookmarklets to said iPad?
Well I’ve crafted a bookmarklet that will make Mobile Safari fit the page to a pixel grid. It seriously makes reading webcomics so much more pleasant, and it has other uses as well. Check it out.

Time Magazine awards the Person of the Year award to the person who “for better or worse, has most influenced events in the preceding year”. It’s not an award but a title, a remark. Note that both Hitler and Einstein are on this list.
In 2001, Time Magazine named New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani as Person of the Year for his response to the World Trade Center attacks in New York City. But many...

Windows Genuine Advantage
In an attempt to prevent piracy and thus losing money, let’s punish every computer user in the entire world by refusing security updates to non-Genuine Windows users and thus allowing zombie computers to take root.

Apparently this is correct:
[tableView deselectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath animated:YES];
And this is not:
[[tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath] setSelected:NO animated:YES];
The former will deselect your selected row for real. The latter will “deselect” the row, only to have the row still be selected when you scroll it back into view.
I might have kinda sorta spent hours...

Blame my sudden interest in Tap Tap Revenge 3 on...
As I read reviews on Tap Tap Revenge 3, I find myself considering a more in-depth study of difference in ratings between iPhone games and more traditional console video games. Seriously, Tap Tap Revenge 3 is getting 9.5/10s across the board.
You know what else got 9.5s? Halo. Metroid Prime. Super Mario 64. Bioshock. These are works of art, the pinnacle of gameplay mechanics and storytelling and...
On Tap Tap Revenge 3
I get the sense that Tapulous didn’t trust the game to stand on its own. The App Store is competitive. The games section of the App Store is hugely competitive. Every game in the App Store faces a constantly onslaught of incoming new and fresh games every day, even established games like Tap Tap Revenge. And so they added more.
They added Tap Tap Revenge 3 the App. The App has stuff like...

I would say my greatest failing when writing code is not doing just this — I usually have a vague idea of what I want to do and then figure out the details as I encounter them. It must make...

Through a combination of an all-around stressful day and well-honed work avoidance skills, I managed to accomplish absolutely nothing.

It’s like… Like if you asked a friend if there was a Starbucks in his neighborhood and he said, yeah I think there’s one half a mile down, maybe. And you drive half a mile and see a big carwash place, and you park and walk in and ask to speak to the manager. And you tell the carwash manager how unhappy you are with this terrible new Starbucks redesign.
Google Buzz
I would might use Google Buzz if all of these were true:
I used Gmail’s web site.
I used Google Reader’s web site.
Anyone else I knew used either or both.
I use Apple Mail on both Mac and iPhone, so I don’t see Gmail’s built in chat or buzz pane or use Google contacts.
I do use Google Reader’s mobile site on iPhone, but not that often. NetNewsWire on Mac. Thus...

A Mac application to create Fogbugz tickets. Worth it just for the dead-simple attachments pane.
Three small nitpicks:
That’s a really weird-looking reload button in the toolbar. I can’t tell what does. It… reloads something?
The toolbar button says “Send” but the item in the File menu and its keyboard shortcut (command-s) say “Save”. It should be Send, and...
So apparently Tumblr’s slideshow feature stretches the images to fit the width, which doesn’t really work for screenshots.
